Moon in Scorpio

“Consider Me Dead” © Katarzyna Dembrowska Displayed here by kind permission of the artist / Slika je objavljena uz pisanu dozvolu umetnika.

When I started learning strology, I was happy to have something in Scorpio, even if it was the Moon. Scorpio, the sign of passion, strength, danger and challenge, but also the sign of true tragedy, hurt and fate’s inevitability, seemed very special to me at that time. But it didn’t take me long to realize that true evil and tragedy indeed exist, because my Moon in Scorpio has undoubtedly from the moment of my first significant loves, untill the moment I understood my place in the family and world, exhibited its dark side. That is why today, as an astrologer with fifteen years of experience for this sign of obssession and destiny’s fatality I have only one word – respect.

Every planet in Scorpio has only one need, only one ambition – to die in order to perhaps be born again.

That applies also to the Moon, that represents sentiments, imagination, tenderness, romance, compassion, comiseration. Positioned in Scorpio in someones chart it always indicates that the person will, through his life experience, go through various dramas that will have only one goal: to kill all that is made of the finest sentiments. So it sometimes seems impossible to be happy, because in his greatest laughter and joy, the person summons this frantic avalanche to engulf him, which is why, when everything is just right and idyllic, along comes a telephone call informing of some one’s death or an argument at the dinner table on a Holy Day which ruins the family forever, or here comes a bomb that kills all who are in the house. That’s why the person subconsiously compromises with himself never to be too happy, never to love too much, get too committed, for all that brings only one thing to him: fear and trepidation for those who are in his thoughts. And every love must die, must come to an end and leave its scars. And that is why it is easiest to stay alone. To be alone. To be far and inaccesible, as others often see them. It is easier to live out of the reach and care of others. To kill emotions, to kill the soul and gentleness, to hurt those that are nearest, which people with Moon in Scorpio will often do, but only in order to make it easier on themselves. So they could suffer ten times more than the person they left without goodbye, than the one they uttered venomous words to and then turned around and left going down a road of their own for which they often don’t care where it leads; since in the end everything leads to the grave. Not caring for the value of life is common here; there only exists a great desire for life not to be empty, for it not to turn into boredom and waiting for something to happen. This is the reason these people don’t stop, they burn from day to day, attracting to them the most dangerous and the most vicious and tragic of characters, attracting danger and consiously provoking life itself, or is it rather death itself.

Since the Moon pertains to the genes inherited from the mother’s side, usually all women in the family are of such a destiny: always prepared for the worst and for the end, although to others they give away the impression of live energy, vulcanic passion and strength, often making better people of those they come in touch with along the way. They never forget the end moment, death, the tragedy that must happen in everything, for everything has its beginning and its end. And as if that is where their salvation lies, as if that constant presence of the end, as the Sword of Damocles floating above them saves them from the terror of believing that anything can be eternal. This is why there is no sorrow here, only silence and passion. These women are special, they have a true strength that does not stand for the monotony of everyday, but are finding a thousand chores for themselves, pushed by an everlasting energy, while everyone watching them admires their strength and untiredness. Usually in the family more women are born than men (my mother has two sisters, and every one of them has daughters) and every one of them is special, strong, passionate and often times alone, sometimes spends her whole life without ever being kissed although she is beautiful and sensual. The damnation of passion, the damnation of fantasy, the damnation of emotion that dreams of a love or a peaceful home must now die forever. Of course, this doesn’t mean that they won’t have a home and family later, but forever bordered by the trepidation and sense that all of that can come down at any minute. Not only women, but also men with this position of the Moon carry within them an inevitability, that values life only when it resembles a sort of true struggle, a jump into a volcano; often found in charts of dangerous, fanatic characters that readily launch themselves in the path of danger and death. Women will also constantly be drawn to challenges, and it will solely depend on how much they will consiously live out their strength and how much they will turn it into fear whether their lives turn out to be tragic, bordered with solitude and how healthy they will be, physically and mentally.

However, life does not leave them in peace, so the moment always happens when danger knocks on their door, whether in the form of a change that will constitute a basic change in their life, or a person of demonic passion for whom women and men with the Moon in Scorpio can again feel all that long forgotten rapture. This woman will more readily live in the dream of this one that she has had for only one night, but who was the embodiment of sexual energy equal to her own, and with that readily accept loneliness, than will she go to meet some new love of a weaker intensity. That moment of challenge is the moment of the greatest emotion that these people have the privilege of knowing through their lives. True passion, true rapture, true belonging that is not possessiveness but rather a complete abandonement to the moment that exists, after which, as these people know, the end must come.
In practical terms, these are women warriors, front liners, they live for the revolution, they overturn destinies, not only their own but also those of others, they enforce change in everyone that comes close to them, and it often belongs to women surgeons, healers… The home is often times close to a cemetary or a river, that again, in its symbolism only reminds us of the passing of everything, and that everything in this world must have its beginning and its end.

    Hi there,

I have the Moon in Scorpio, and I am always told that there is something demonic/evil about my way of being, although I never actually do evil things (maybe my Mars in Libra prevents me from it?). However, when it comes to writing I always take pleasure in presenting tragedy and the obscene. I think these two writings are very Scorpio-like (but only after reading your article did I think of it).

    Here are two examples:

    a short story

My father has moon in scorpio
    He loves horror movies
When I was a kid he watched zombie movies constantly..
This affected me I think as I would have constant nightmares about them and daydreams….I never really spoke up about them.I was a quiet kind of kid.
His mother my grandmother .. wasnt a very nice person really.
She lived far from us Ild go to stay each easter.
basicly she was bad tempered critical and caustic would lash out when you least expect it.
I think he choose to get away from her and stay away as young as possible.
When she died a few years back I sat on the train talking to him asking if he had ever loved her he told me no which somehow broke my heart.
    I have scorpio rising
That a person with this moon is surrounded by scorpio women is intresting to me…and looking at the family as a whole I think its very true
My mother has south node scorpio and a scorpio energy about her.
She adopted her sisters and brother when I was 2 years old as her mother died young.
So the importance of this death*scorpio* lay heavily over our family.
The youngest aunt (5yrs) was more like a sister to me she has scorpio south node and Pluto retrograde.
My moon by the way is in Tarus
When I was a child i had many vivid dreams some fun lots about zombies and running away *survival*
    but one reucurring one
    about being buried alive
Coffin lid above me screaming shouting noone hearing…
Im 38 now and im still here .. my mother left my father I stayed he needed me.. time past confidence undermined …Im still here like a creature denied life buried alive.
I dont know how to get out
I want to walk out of the darkness and into a place of light simplicity and love.
Heal this karma by my actions My fathers mother is dead and she was the way she was because of her burdens only this.
With Scorpio energy you have to take it straight on not run look it straight in its eye for what it is
then bury it under a rock… the dead do not walk and remain to torture us…
    Only in our darkest dreams!

To fellow Scorpio moons, what do you do about feelings of possessiveness/jealousy?

Hi I have a scorpio Moon and my mom always told me that i’m possessive what mine is mine. I don’t struggle with jealousy though I have a very balanced birth chart with lots of conjuctions and no opposition and hardly any squares my scorpio moon conjucts pluto.

I am a Sun in Leo, Aries Asc and Moon in Scorpio… Balancing the fixed driven/happy Leo and fixed intense/insane Scorpio is a major challenge. As my boyfriend remarked the other day after getting the chance to witnesses me overcoming yet another difficult obstacle (with a smile on my face) I had no control over, “God” likes to test you doesnt it?

I totally relate to what you are saying about being too happy….For a long time I had the same fear but then I realized you cannot appreciate true happiness unless you have experienced deep pain. So I have become the proverbial iron fist behind the velvet glove and revell in my pain as a survivor of tests that would have certainly destroyed any non-scorpio moon mortal.

As far as the revenge thing, I have noticed that as long as I do the right thing that karma seem especially on my side. Every single person who has inflicted pain on me has either greatly suffered or died. So I suggest to non-lunar Scorpios to never ever ever ever ever think you will get away with screwing one of us over on purpose. We can forgive an accident very easily because we understand the psychological limitations of the human condition and it just reiterates our superiority over mear mortals. But if you think you can go toe to toe with one of us you will be sadly mistaken…You will not even know that we know, we might even still talk to you acting like nothing happened but rest assured, We will get our revenge when you least expect it….

I’m a lunar scorpio too and I love a bit of schadenfreude. I feel genuinely joyful whenever a bully gets their comeuppance. I can’t stand airheads or shallow people. I know when someone is lying to me. I can’t abide people who make promises and don’t keep them or people who are deluded about themselves. Don’t cross me or try to mislead me. I’ll see straight through you and I can wait, oh I can wait until you reap what you’ve sown. Most people are the architects of their own downfall. I am the same – my worst enemy is myself. I know this though whereas most people don’t. I am constantly aware of the possibility of death. I’m quiet and shy, but I’m deep. I have huge compassion and understanding for those who have suffered in life.

Wow…so recently i have been shown the effects of the moon sign and i knew a little about it before but after reading this article many things in my life made sense. I’ve come to find myself VERY interested in astrology. It first began with my fascination with horoscopes in the back of magazines that i read back in middle school. i just recently turned 18 and just ended my first ever relationship. The whole time in the despite the happiness it brought me the thought of it ending anytime or eventually in the future always lingered under the surface of my happiness and because of this doubt i had it really effected my behavior in the relationship as a whole. >.< Also it explains the way i feel about being in relationships as well. My sun sign is in Libra and majority of information i fins says that I easily go in and out of many relationships but now i understand why i do not feel that way at all. Its because my moon is in Scorpio.

ST, my sun is also in Libra & moon in Scorpio.

I can definitely relate to the doubt I have in relationships; “the thought of it ending anytime or eventually in the future always lingered under the surface of my happiness.” & I’m in one now.

I also have a keen interest in astrology.
Now, all Scorpio moons have some form of outlets. I’d like to know what everyone’s is [besides sex]. Anyone else enjoy hot baths that most non-lunar Scorpios would consider intolerable?

  8. Margo

    October 31, 2009 at 3:55 am

I’m Sun Aries, Moon Scorpio. Yes, I do like hot baths (doesn’t everyone?). People hardly every guess that I’m an Aries – I always seem too quiet, mysterious or strange. And oh so deep.

I certainly have a tendency to push people and relationships away… And I certainly long for strong emotions and passions – it is difficult for me to find a suitable partner.

My personal comment is that although Scorpio Moon is special – I don’t think we are any more special than other signs, just different. And I always believe that there is a light in the end of the tunnel. Things are not so dark or negative, because there are always people out there who will be compatible with us.

LOOOOOOOVE the HOT baths! When I first began to find out about the other parts of my astro signs (VirgoSun.ScoprioMoon.LeoRising)and found that it was common for ScoprioMoon to take HOT baths I was like YEP that is me! It is very soothing and relaxing. The thing I find about being a Scoprio Moon is my ablilty to see thur the intentions of others almost like a glass. Its amazing sometimes how much I can read below the surface just…AMAZING!

I think that was so beautifully written and very much of it applies to my life and my Scorpio moon friends lives as well.
(Last Paragraph) about the cemetery..I recently spent an afternoon in a cemetery with a fellow Scorpio moon for a ‘girls day out’ and that is why I was looking up moon in Scorpio.
And my story goes..realized I was in love with my best friend, he lived far away and instead of telling him I cut everyone important out of my life then found a most vicious, tragic, and dangerous person and married him..”provoking death itself”
And now I am in transition making conscious choices to provoke life rather than death and tragedy and drama. Astrology is such a valuable tool to be utilized when making changes..to be aware of my tendencies and using that awareness to make positive changes in my life.
Much of what I’ve read about moon in Scorpio usually implies or outright describes that this is a difficult position to have your moon in. We tend to choose to learn things ‘the hard way’ it seems.
    Me: Sun=Pisces Asc=Virgo Moon=Scorpio

Thank you Alexandra for your beautifully written insight!

I am a Gemini with a Scorpio moon… So I unfortunately have an overwhelming urge to communicate my tragedies. Not good. Thankfully, I am a visual artist so that helps. But I also have a Cancer Venus which causes a bit of extra pain when burned by love, yet I still pine for the “great love”, which I then push away. Then I tell people about it through art that always has to do with pain and transformation.

I’m a Leo Sun with Moon in Scorpio and Rising Capricorn. I always have conflicts with my Leo and Scorpio. Their are times I want to be the star of the stage and be mister popular. Other times I want to stay back and watch everything unfold. Only taking control if I feel it is very serious and people need help. Do any of you have mood swings? I can one day be very happy and hyper. The other I can be calm or depressed. (This could be due to my Mars in Gemini.) But, do any of you have diffrent moods?

I also never took revenge. I knew deep down that Karma would catch up to whoever has done wrong. So, I let things go easily which I was made fun of for. (Called a Wimp, ect.)

I can be extremly Jealous though. This really only happens in relationships. I got suspicious and jealous whenever my Girlfriend talks to other guys. I always tell her that she is lucky Im a nice Scorpio/Leo/Capricorn. By choice I always choose to be nice. I could be a controlling self centered abusive jerk if I wanted. (Mentally and Physically.) However, I do not. I do not like harming people or controlling them.

I’m so happy that I found all of your discussions on this. I feel like someone understands me. Im gald Im not the only one.

When I came out of my moms stomach. I was blue and could not breath. I thank my Scorpio Moon for giving me life. Im positive there is a connection. And Angel that watched over me.

Do any of you have real bad lust issuses? I did espically when I was younger. I made great mistakes that I wish I could go back and change. They seem to have gone though.

I have changed so much in my life. Early, I was a jerk towards pople and a bully. Now I’m a nice sweet loving caring guy. I also help people with their problems and stick up for people who are weaker.

thanks for this article. Me and my sister have scorpio moons. We live together are sort of drifters and kind of overwhelmed about life’s experiences. We also do live near a river. No cemetery around but a mortician just around a corner.
Also, my sister loves the hot baths, i guess i would too if i had time from all the more important stuff… like finding the secret of life.

I must say i would happily trade this position of a chart. But it is a thing to be used for the good as everything is.

woman warrior I like that and this article was so good it moved me to tears 🙂

Currently I am recovering from a bad love affair with you guessed it a dangerous man. He is a “pimp” and of coarse me being the naive cancer sun I am (and 18 years old at the time) I didnt even know what I was getting into!! Thankfully 4 months ago I left him (I had to call the cops for assistance 🙂 )… I knew it was going to end bad and it did to wear I killed any feelings I ever had for him….I really hit rock bottom and this article so explains how I feel in many ways. I can hide my past very well and most people in my life dont even know half my story!! It is my deepest darkest secret …and during that time I did live by a cemetary.

and miss beka from what you said about the revenge thing I totally agree with you….Many times I had to resist the great temptation to get revenge on my so called enemies and gosh I had such great plans to put forth towards them! (I was an exotic dancer and you can only imagine what kind of environment i was pitted into) BUT I have realized that when I hold it back and let karma do its work for me I get the sweetest revenge in the end and almost always come out on top 😉

I have moon, mercury, mars and neptune all within 3 degrees cj in scorpio-yea, well more a victim of the lustful man- held captive for 9 months, often wicked boyfriends, and powerless to escape, able to defend but not escape without years of suffering and tragedy. Intelligent, but duped in love. LOVE hot baths since young. Always persisting, but a long row to hoe. Mesmerizingly sexy, but finding the ordinary man too ordinary. Or feeling that one can see thru people’s motivations as if it were sufficient protection from them.

I love hot baths. I am an Aquarian with a Scorpio Moon. I see light but feel darkness. I love people but feel a strong desire to not get to close. I love sharing thoughts with people but due to my nature, regret it. I am pulled to be free but my emotions and inner torment keep me imprisoned. I have read that Scorpio’s evolve. Beginning as a Scorpion, an Eagle and eventually into a Dove. This definitely feels like a personal journey. I’m learning to not take life personally and to forgive everything. I also am learning that I have no control only to self rule and to honor the will within. I don’t know if I will or can understand life, so judgment of anything will not aide. Deep inside I feel the answers are there. If I could just sit and let them surface. Maybe that is another reason I enjoy hot baths. Self Discipline feels painful but necessary. I feel the child within who seems to ache for it, but she is afraid of boredom and hum drum. I’m tired….of being a warrior against life. I want to be a WARRIOR FOR LIFE!!!! Bringing the darkness into the LIGHT.
Wishing infinite love and gratitude for all that is seen and unseen

      To Nadine

I am Aquarian with scorpio moon – I love saunas and cold plunges. The evolution – scorpion – eagle – dove is very comforting; may be there is a way. My struggle now is to kill the the loop of destruction and renewal and so rising to be Eagle. Eagle must see the whole landscape to target the kill. Wisdom and choice of kill leads to dove and peace.

My Moon is in Capricorn and i married to a girl with Moon in Scorion with Venus. We love intensly but my wife has deep tendency of Sarcasm, Anger, Control and Jealousy. She believes in Astro & Occult and for every action she confronts it with Planetary Effect.

Her sarcasm never ends and her Controlling attitude has seperated us. She is too revengeful and goes to any limits.

    She is Sagitarius by Sun

Moon + Scorpio + Venus very dangerous.

eh. I’m a scorpio rising with an aries moon, which means other people view me as dark and complicated when i’m actually quite shallow. however i do get angry easily and when it does come out ( i usually attempt suppress it) it is really, really terrible and i end up feeling guilty about it for two minutes. then i move on to the next thing. i also find that, despite having no air element in my birth chart, i am (except for getting angry) extremely detached and apathetic and analytical (Mars in virgo). i think the only real emotion i ever felt in my life was anger and impatience.

i also find that although i would love to go and have some really intense experiences, i usually shy away in the end. my aries moon and cancer sun always tells me to do things that comfort myself instead of things that don’t.

Hello! I loved reading your blog…it spoke to me in many ways and allowed me to think deeply about motivations.

As a Virgo Sun, Scorpio Moon/Asc I feel like my emotion, passions, wants and needs are constantly in conflict with what I should do, say, and act. Ie, I think my Virgo sun keeps my inner Scorpio in check.

However, I don’t think Scorpio moons suffer a destiny of tragedy or fate more than most people do. What we do is seek out stimulation, people, and situations that then brings on these things. So we CAN make a conscious decision to not go to that extreme depth, but rather learn to be more transcending.

Because there are two sides to Scorpios -the stinging scorpion and the phoenix rising. Which Scorpio are you? Personally through trials of life, I have learned to become a phoenix…rebirth is a constant in my life and so I have decided to look towards spirituallity over death and darkness in my life.

That doesn’t mean that other side of Scorpio isn’t there from time to time…Anyone else out there has a propensity of having a little too much of a wild night out from time to time? lol 🙂

I feel as thou Scorpio moon folks suffer from what I call “Immediate Karma”…I screw up, I pay for it immediately. I do something nice, and I see rewards pretty quickly. I also believe that if someone wrongs me, Karma will take care of it…so I don’t have a revengeful outlook. 🙂

You so beautifully stated “that values life only when it resembles a sort of true struggle”. So true…I only feel alive when I am in a moment of struggle trying to be in the moment, trying to overcome something greater than me. This also makes me not sympathize very well with people who are lazy and whiny…

    • Brian

      February 11, 2010 at 12:02 pm

      Katgrrl

“only feel alive when I am in a moment of struggle” That is the trap, the loop.

Like the mating dance of actual scorpions. They could cannabalise each other in a flash – the powerful urge to mate but fear of the closeness. So they clasp pincers and struggle to pass sperm.

“also men with this position of the Moon carry within them an inevitability, that values life only when it resembles a sort of true struggle, a jump into a volcano; often found in charts of dangerous, fanatic characters that readily launch themselves in the path of danger and death”

I have the Moon & 5 other planets in Scorpio & three others in the 8th. It’s a spiritual death, but one that is caused by merging with another. We create a new world with another & when that falls, we fall. But at some point the Scorpio learns to fly as an eagle & to do that we have to fly alone. That is when we meet our mate in the sky, cause he/she flies next to us, follows us into eternity, cause eternity is now. Every ending is just a new beginning.

My Sun in Capricorn, My Moon in Scorpio. I feel like this every day. I think of flying from tree to mountain, city to city. That when I jump through a broken window nothing can harm me. Everytime I did something interesting I have to let it go because it clashed with something or someone elses passions. I don’t have a religious base just that I am Maori from New Zealand and astrology connects with our culture. I also have Neptune in Scorpio. My mum has her Sun in Scorpio and all of my close friends.

Life is Death. Death is life. Reality is pain.
Truth is the most beautiful yet most painful reality.
And beauty exists in the most painful love.

Oh my god, your writing is so true it is painful;I am a scorpio moon and my mum died tragically when i turned 5, and I have always had this knowledge or feeling of ending and death, being so strong I caused the breakup of my marriage to a special and good person. It hurts so much to love, and I am sad alone though it feels inevitable. There is such a destiny in this moon, and I feel so true to it’s imprint on my life.

This article is the best I’ve read in years. It speaks so deeply to me. After reading other comments on this blog, I know that as a Aqua Sun/Scorp Moon/Libra Rising, that I finally understand why I’ve felt the way I do. I have tears in my eyes. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am saving this. The comments do speak to me as well with deep understanding at how complex we are beyond the sun signs.

Beautiful description of a scorpio moon. One of the best ive seen yet. I’m a libra with moon and mercury conjunct in scorpio and i can say for certain that i don’t have a libran personality. I always read scorpio to know more about my personality and like most scorpio moons i luv the occult. I love everything dark and mysterious. Horror movies…..the paranormal…… anything about the mysteries of existance. I read true crime books and to be honest the gorier the better. Ive always been interested in death. I used to want to be a mortician( very scorpio moon occupation) , maybe even a homicide detective.

Can anybody relate to any of this???

Also my anger is explosive when really aroused and i hold onto my resentment forever never really trusting the person who hurt me ever again,, and usually taking care to avoid them.

    Oh my gosh.
This was a very accurate description of Scorpio Moon.
Oh how I’ve always been so aware of endings.
And this is scarily true… “That’s why the person subconsiously compromises with himself never to be too happy, never to love too much, get too committed, for all that brings only one thing to him: fear and trepidation for those who are in his thoughts. And every love must die, must come to an end and leave its scars. And that is why it is easiest to stay alone. To be alone. ”
There was a time I threw myself in a relationship and believed it was never-ending… How much that has hurt me. As far as I’m concerned, I find it best to trust my intuition more than anything else. I think about life a lot, with the Sag rising allowing me to be “philosophical” and it helps me be more optimistic about endings.
I’m falling for a Sagittarius Sun Pisces Moon. Connection is great. Trust is questionable.

being a scorpio moon i live a very solitude lifestylye.I dont have any close friends:by choice. My attitude is kind of like i can do bad by myself,so when it comes to the world its just me against it.I tend to stay away from people that im stongly attracted to or intrigued with.Im afraid of falling for someone and they wont understand the severity of my feelings, i love so hard and so strong it scares people but I try to hold on so tight because i know that eventually these feeling will fade.My scorpio moon makes me attacted to that which i cannot see but that which is hidden inside of mans heart and soul, that is what last in life………………..NOT THE PHYSICAL BUT THE SPIRITUAL.

As I was reading the first words of this blog I was amazed at the accuracy of this blog, I swear I am a grown men but I almost cried at the truth of it all. I use to read the Virgo horoscope and completely not agree that this was me. Not until I did my chart with my exact time of birth and it was revealed I had my moon in scorpio did it become clear to me, how accurate my moon sign description really was.

Very accurate, I have a Scorpio Moon, Leo rising Sun in Virgo and it is so accurate to me, your article that is. Since I was young I always enjoyed loneliness. I remember being nine years old, and asking my mother when she would be living the house. She left for the Islands for seven years when I was around 17 years old, leaving me and my sisters and I have never been able to forgive her. A part of me stopped trusting her completely and the day she left something inside of me died. All the so called ”friends” I have ever had have all betrayed me, and one after the other mutual acquaintances have come up to me telling me how they have met with some catastrophic event happening in there lives. Even do circumstances or ”Karma” if one can believe in such a thing, got them I always honestly would of prefered handing out my own justice as I know it would of felt 1000 time better then so called ”Karma”. But in truth since my younger days, if I was innocent in a situation the opposite party always paid some kind of price.

I trust no one, and keep people at a distance and I fear that the only human being I will ever be able to love without bonds will be my children when I have them. I have experienced the other side of life, and i was attracted from a very young age to the dark side of life the ”streets” it was fascinating to me and all my associates were hard core street hoodlums. Pimps. pushers, people who would not hesitate putting you in the ground. In some what I felt that this is were I ”belonged” and that this was my apprenticeship in the streets and that I was trading in me, my time and effort for valuable knowledge. Everytime I lose or break up a relationship I always feel like a small part of me dies, yet i almost always feel it is inevitable.

My intense nature is almost not understood, by anyone so I always have to calm myself down and be ”cool” or have a cool exterior while there are raging volcanos inside me, ready to erupt. Moon in Scorpio is such a tremendous challenge and burden, but yet there is a part of me that loves my intensity!!! I feel alive with it, and i always say to myself at least I feel!!! Most people that I see on a every day basis, are walking around and dead already. I also have always have had a fascination with death, and told my mother at a very early age that we were all born dying and that every breath we take, brings us closer to our own demise. I have never been afraid of death, and always looked forward to its dark embrace. At least this post really make me se that, I am not the only Scorpio moon with these thoughts.

    Sun-Sagittarius/Moon Scorpio/Acs Aries

A lot of times i feel their really needs to be a support group out there for moons in Scorpio. lol its a tough sign to carry. growing up, i always felt conflicted with so many raging emotions, be it loving too deeply, and pushing people away or leaving too quickly in order to sabotage my happiness, for the end always felt near. Ive always been interested in the occult-but it was definitely in baby step ways. i started learning about sun signs-but being a Sagittarius sun i just never related, then i moved onto numerology, then eventually down to moon signs, my discovery of being a Scorpio moon hit to the core, suddenly everything inside made perfect sense..and then that knowledge led me to channel my intensity in a positive way. manipulating my feelings for good. i have a deep desire to be good, to do good, to heal, i know I’m powerful, and so I’ve made a conscience decision to always keep in mind my karma, (it hasn’t always been an easy process) but it has greatly paid off in my life, (i meditate and take plenty of time to digest my feelings alone) i don’t feel nearly as many heart aches, or life challenges, I’m open and honest with my feelings, even in my dark times. i use my intuition to bring to my life only good hearted people whom i can trust. i attract mates i can connect to, and release my inner passions, even if they end, i leave them knowing they served its purpose. now i feel the universe is working in my favor. obviously that’s not to say doom doesn’t occur, but i can understand the bigger picture now. when a relationship comes and goes, i understand its purpose-i understand the beginning and end process and what lesson that came to teach me.

my advice to my fellow scorpion moons-take the journey to learn where your intense feelings come from, release any feelings of resentments and anger, embrace your sensitivity and compassion for fellow man, and you will see a shift in your energy and you will recognize that light can exist-even in your life. remember that releasing and forgiving people who have done you harm is ultimately freeing you.

This was lovely to read , and I couldn’t agree more.

interesting that for the first time Scorpio moon isn’t described as simply possessive, usually there’s allot of misunderstanding with Scorpio moon being simply at its fall and therefore emotions are at their fall-so to speak, while in fact the emotions reach more depth as they fall and from the darkness can reach more light and truth then other signs.
of course its difficult, but as i see it the higher the price the…don’t you think? i wouldn’t give up this intensity for nothing,no matter the pain, life without it is gray- unreal. let others laugh and cry and love-out in the open. each person has their own path and meaning they can bring to society. Scorpio moon people can maybe be the Persephone returned with her own insights to the living, someone got to take that role.
    p.s
I’m a Taurus sun(8th house) Libra rising sign and Scorpio moon.

I have a scorpio moon, and I was born on a full moon, lilith in Aquarius, Sun, in Aries-(rising leo). Intuitive dreams, premonitions, and
just plain different from others. What you wrote was strait on. My mother is a scorpio, and she was in the bath all the time, I love hot showers, very hot. I wish we had an on going community for dialog with each other, if you ever get one, please let me know!

    Great writing!

It’s great to see this article…finally realizing why I am the way I am!

    Taurus Sun
    Scorpio Moon
    Scorpio Rising

Pretty intense combo 🙂 but wouldn’t want it any other way…Have had a lot of trouble overcoming possessive tendencies.

Feel like I can sense what people are thinking/feeling very easily (intuitive). Perhaps knowing I have strong Scorpio influence slightly makes this a self-fulfilling prophecy…who knows..but either way, I like it!

I am 8th house Taurus Sun/ Scorpio Moon conjunct Neptune………

Yes everything is true. The intensity can be overwhelming…. the subtle
powerful emotions ….. I am in a relationship and struggling with possessiveness and jealousy. I have tried very hard to keep these things hidden from him. I am searching into the cause of these intense feelings through therapy…. My therapist also has a Scorpio moon.
I have been both the scorpion and the phoenix… Trying to become more like the phoenix. I am older and have realized that Scorpio Moon can not be denied or repressed….. the pain needs to be felt and let go….. Then healing can begin…. and healing is a strong perhaps necessary energy for Scorpio. Yes! would love to join a community for Scorpio Moons!!

I’m a Leo Sun, Scorp Moon, Cap Ascendent Too! How interesting,

I think I was really quite awful early in life as well, but at some point I just decided that I didn’t want to be the person I was and there was no going back–I’ve turned all of it into being obnoxiously honest, moral and caring. I really think that there’s something about the combination of having your luminaries in the two most passionate signs–Leo and Scorpio–and your Ascendent in Capricorn, which brings a seriousness, sense of responsibility and awareness of limits of time, that makes drastic transformation at some point in life inevitable. Either that or suicide I guess–But I’ve never known anyone with this combination of energies to be able to stomach the thought of acting that way.

I’m curious though–Did you ever find yourself feeling as though you were far older than your peer-group as a child? And that the Scorpio/Capricorn energy was more your default, where as the Leo sun only was allowed to manifest around people you trusted?

I’ve had a lot of Capricorn rising friends, and a lot of Leo moon friends, and a lot of Scorpio Sun friends, but I’ve never known anyone with all three of these energies in “the main three” before, so I’m super curious! The closest I’ve come is a friend with a Scorp Sun, Aquarius Moon, and Cap ascendent, and my Dad, who has an Aquarius Sun, Scorp Moon and Libra ascendent (which I say is similar because Aqu is the opposite of Leo, and in both cases these people are fixed luminaries with cardinal risings).

Hi im Taurus sun scorpio moon Gemini rising. And im basically a happy person right now. I had a dificult relationship with my mother and yes in my family there are more women than men who seem to die young too. I feel my gemini rising and having mercury in the first gives me a lighter approach to life. I have the sun in the 12th, and sometimes i have premonitions and i like to do ayahuasca trips, i feel my moon is a blessing cause it allows me to feel everything deeply. We just need to think positively and remember we can change, scorpio excels in rebirth and renovation, its a strenght. I wouldnt have it any other way. Love my scorpio moon. Love yours. We are made like we are for a reason

This article was very helpful. I’ve always wondered why bad things always seem to happen to me. My sister, my mother and I all have lunar scorpio and we’ve all undergone abandonment of the sort for my sister and I it was our mom and dad. She portrays a brighter soul than I being a Libra rising and cancer sun. I think she’s very balanced. whereas me Cap sun and a taurus rising I tend suppress all of my emotions and fight them constantly. it’s a exhausting and taxing on the body. Reading this article has help me to understand how to deal with all this intensity

I’m a Gemini Sun Scorpio Moon. Dealing with this moon is very hard. I seem to become jealous, sarcastic, evil at times. I’m easily hurt by little things. I find it difficult to trust anyone. I LOVE hot baths. These are some traits that a Gemini doesn’t have and I only have moon amd chiron in scorpio. Can anyone suggest how to deal with this moon? This is by far the most complex combo I know. Anyone else has it? I wanna know how you deal with it?

Sanja! you are are my favorite Astrologer online for sure. I love your insights.
I don’t think you should answer for feel- especially very detailed questions.
I only want to ask what is your tip for a full Scorpio Moon? In other words, my Sun is in Taurus. If the Sun is the go and father and my Moon is the inner- the memory of love and home. What matters more- being stable (Taurus ) or going deep with emotions and passion (Scorpio).

A conflicted Taurus with many Pluto vices.
